Gravel driveways are all we do.
Your gravel driveway can be rut free, pothole free, smooth and hard, and easy to maintain
Most ruts and potholes aren't a gravel problem. They're a water problem. We find where the water's coming from and fix that first, then build the driveway back so it sheds water and stays hard, steep drives included.

What we do
Every job starts with finding out why your driveway is failing, not just where.
Gravel driveway recovery
We rework your existing gravel instead of starting over. We regrade and re-crown so it sheds water, recover your good stone, add what's needed and compact it.
How recovery worksSteep driveway repair
On a hill, water picks up speed and takes the gravel with it. We get the water off the driving surface, use angular stone that locks together and pack it so it holds the grade.
Steep driveway repairGrading and compaction
A proper crown and well-packed layers are what keep a gravel driveway hard. We grade it, compact it with our vibratory roller and leave it smooth.
Grading and compactionWater management and drainage
Water washes out gravel, cuts ruts and floods low spots and garages. We find where it starts, then put in drains or cut ditches and send the water where it should go.
Water managementArmored drainage ditches
We hand-place rock in ditches so the stones lock together, the water has a channel it can't erode, and the ditch keeps its shape.
Armored drainage ditchesNew driveway installation
We build new driveways from the base up, with every layer graded to shed water from day one.
New driveway installationSteep driveways are where gravel fails first
Water coming down a long hill gains speed and tears through the gravel with every hard rain. Adding more rock on top doesn't hold, because the next storm carries it to the bottom.
We turn the water off the driving surface, crown the drive so it sheds to the sides, and use angular stone that locks together. Then we compact it in layers so it holds the grade.

What our customers say
A 5.0 rating from 100+ Google reviews. Here are three recent ones.
“We are very satisfied with the quality and value of the work. We particularly like the seamless junction to the public road and the excellent compaction. They work very hard and have excellent equipment. Highly recommend.”
“Richard and team did an amazing job on our driveway. We had horrible ruts … that made the driveway nearly unusable. Now it is the smoothest gravel drive I have ever driven on.”
“One week ago Gravel Driveway Recovery reworked our driveway and added a turn around so we did not have to back onto the road in front of our house. … I waited a week to post this review because I wanted to see how everything would hold up with various types of traffic on it. It exceeded all of our expectations.”
